Just a reminder from our last session, make sure you get away from distractions and focus on THE MAIN THING!!! Things are very stressful this time of year so make extra effort to spend time with the one who created Christmas for us!!

This time of year is really crazy!!! But we need to focus on THE MAIN THING. At this time of year we need to be very careful that we stay focused on the 'reason for the season'. I believe that when we do this it will give us a better understanding and a more grateful heart for what God has done for us. I am reminded of something someone once said. I can't remember who said it first but this statement has been used for years. Here it is:

THE MAIN THING IS TO KEEP

THE MAIN THING

THE MAIN THING!!!

THE MAIN THING this time of year is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!!!! Keep HIM THE MAIN THING this Christmas season.

Hey Gang!!! I am going to do a better job of blogging, I promise! I am looking forward to what God is going to teach us through our Thanksgiving sessions. We all have a lot to be thankful for, but why do we need to be thankful? That will be our focus for the next two weeks. I want to encourage you to invite some friends to join us as we learn together Why we need to be thankful. I cannot wait to see how God is going to bless us as we focus on our blessings!!!

You guys are the best youth group in the world and don't ever forget that!!

WOW!!!! The reports from See You At The Pole were incredible!!!! I am excited that so many students are willing to stand up and be heard on our campuses. I believe, as I have told you before many times, YOUR generation is the generation that will bring the next great revival to this country and it is going to start with each one of you making a difference in your school. I am very proud of each of you as you daily take a stand for Jesus among your peers!!!

Okay, I know it has been forever and I have been slack in doing this blog but I promise I will do better!!!! It was a great thrill for me this to lead the SEE YOU AT THE POLE rally at Ft. Dorchester Elementary. There was about 48 students, teachers, and parents!!! I praise God that the principal is very supportive of this. It is also encouraging to see so many parents willing to meet @ 6:45am to pray for the school. At 7:45am I was at Oakbrook Middle and there was about 40 of us there. The principal led in prayer and it is awesome to know some of our students have Godly influences in their lives while they at school!!! I look forward to hearing the results from everyone. Let me say now to stay focused on the things that are right in this world. I know we experience stuff everyday that saddens us but if keep our eyes on Jesus, He will be the one to handle things for us.

REMEMBER: DAILY QUIET TIME IS ESSENTIAL!!! MAKE THE TIME TO SPEND WITH GOD AND YOUR BIBLE!!!

Hey what do you think about the new colors? One of my students is really great at designing stuff like this. I think it looks great and understand that this is still a work in progress so it will continue to get better. Thanks "Bear" for doing this!!!

I know some of you have seen the movie, "The Passion of the Christ" and some of the scenes are very difficult to watch but have you ever thought of what Christ did for you on the cross? If He had not died on the cross, where would be right now? Probably wandering around aimlessly and getting into a lot of trouble that we could not get out of. Jesus loves us so much that He died so we would be able to have a second chance at doing things. In my life, and the lives of our Leadership Team, we have done things that we are not proud of. But, because of the grace of Jesus, we can wake up each day and begin a new journey with Jesus. In one of the scenes in "The Passion", you feel like you can actually sense the compassion the actor is trying to convey. I believe if we could have seen Jesus, we would realize how much He loves us. Think about this as we celebrate our risen Lord on Sunday.

Daily Blog

Hey gang!! Hope all of you enjoy the JUMPSTART blog. This is going to be a work in progress and I promise it will get better as I get used to doing it. Let me remind you of a few things coming up. This Sunday, April 1 we will have our Easter presentation at 11am. This promises to be a huge blessing, so invite your friends to join us for "Three Days" as the choir leads us in the ressurection of our Lord. Next week is Spring Break (yeah!)!!! We will not meet on Wednesday, April 4 but we will have a special service on April 11 as we celebrate what God has done for us during Lent. I look forward to seeing you this weekend and also look forward to seeing what God has done and will do in all of our lives
